PVK

13-year water supply and sanitation in Prague (1.2.m inhabitants), awarded to a Vivendi-led consortium in January 2001. The consortium, also including Anglian Water, paid EUR 174m for a 66% equity stake, and purchased the rest in October 2002. Expected revenues were estimated at EUR 110m per year. Vivendi (now Veolia) now owns 100% of PVK.

Vivendi expected price increases to be contained to inflation levels in three years after the award, as opposed to the tenfold increase occurred in the preceding ten years.
