Bahia state utility, which has some 2.5 million clients in Bahia state.

It was privatised in July 1997, when 65.4% of the stock was sold. "Coelba is 87.8%-owned by Guaraniana, a holding company in which Spain's Iberdrola has a 39% stake, followed by the Previ pension fund (17%).
